Corrine H. "Corrie" Paffenroth died at Ripon Medical Center on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born on December 27, 1932 to Theodore and Helen (Heiss) Gast. She grew up in Oshkosh and was raised by her step-mother, Charlotte. On September 11, 1954 she married Richard Paffenroth at Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. They enjoyed 51 years together until his death in 2005.
Corrine and Richard lived in Madison until his retirement when they made their home in Green Lake. Corrine was generous with her time and enjoyed helping at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon where she was a member. She could be found crocheting, sewing or helping however she could. She was determined and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling.
Surviving Corrine are her daughters, Dawn (Al) Folker and Bonnie Paffenroth; grandchildren: Jessica, Monika, Erik, and Kale Folker; sister, Ramona Timm, brothers, Ted (Arlene) Gast and William (Vi) Gast; sister-in-law, Louise Kolaske; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Richard, Corrine was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Field, her parents and step-mother.
A funeral service will be held for Corrine at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 Griswold Street, Ripon, Wisconsin. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
