Nothing lasts forever. Life on earth ends when you die. All we have is what lies between Hello and Goodbye. It's sad when a person we shared so many memories with becomes one. Daniel K. Craig became our memory on May 6, 2017. He was born December 16, 1949, to Richard and Inez (née Reitz) Craig. Dan graduated from Omro High School with the class of 1968. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the US Army from 1970-1971. He saw action that changed his life. He married Darlene Mattison on June 21, 1986, and together they shared almost 31 years of happiness and memories. In Darlene's words, "He was a loving, caring friend and husband." In keeping with his need to be busy, Dan continued working part-time and recently took an interest in woodworking. He had a green thumb and helped Shyla plant Darlene's flowers, and always found time for family, and enjoyed his time with them. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws, brother, Darhl, brothers-in-law, Bob, Terry and Richard; sisters-in-law, Mona and Pam. Surviving Dan are his loving wife, sons, Troy and Charlie; daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Greg Pratt); brothers, Paul (Gerrie), Dennis (Sandy); sisters, Cyndi and Patty (Bob) Fink; brothers-in-law, Dale and James; sisters-in-law, Joann, Dawn, Donna, and Debra, nieces, nephews, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, Omro, on Monday, May 15th from 4:00-6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service with military honors. Dan left a memory His words could not impart. For us who knew and loved him, He'll remain within our heart.
