Daniel F. Janiak, age 83 passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 20, 2014. Dan was born on June 29, 1931 the son of Albin and Florence (Lemieux) Janiak. He was a graduate from Omro High School. Dan proudly served his country in Korea as a United States Marine. He married Lorraine E. Manske on April 7, 1956.He is survived by his wife Lorraine and four children; Marie Rose (Pat) Paiz of Seguin, Texas, Aileen (Gary)Ostermeier of Watertown, Wisconsin, Joseph (Carol) Janiak DePere, Wisconsin and Julie Janiak of Janesville, Wisconsin; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a sister Angela Shew. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters Marjorie Simmet and Petronella Schilcher and 2 brothers Raymond and Richard. There will be a memorial service for Dan on Friday October 24, 2014, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Omro at 2:00pm.The family would like to thank Generations from Fond du Lac for all the comfort and care they provided for Dan and his family.
