Obituary

Daniel R. Mierswa 86 "Danny or Dan'l" City of Omro, died suddenly in route to Berlin Memorial Hospital on Monday evening May 26, 2003. He was born August 13, 1916 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Otto & Elizabeth Mierswa. He worked with his father as a Pharmacist Apprentice until the time of entering the service. He served in the Army Air Corp in Chanute Field, Illinois as a Technical Sergeant from 1940 to 1945. While in the Army, he was a Teletype Writer Mechanic. He married Irene Molyneaux on August 5, 1943 and together they had 2 children, Marrianne and John D. Mierswa. After the service, he worked for AT & T for many years. In 1963 he returned to Oshkosh where he worked as a bartender at Robbins Restaurant for 18 years. On March 21, 1975 he married Diana M. Folske.

Survivors include his wife Diana and former wife, Irene, one daughter; Marrianne Mecca of Apache Junction, AZ. and one son; John D. Mierswa of Cambria, CA., 4 grandchildren; Julie, Larry John, Patrick and Gregeory, 6 Great-grandchildren, one brother in law; Bert Lyngaas, and one sister in law; Ruth Mierswa. Also surviving are his wife's brother; Dan Folske, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on his wife's side, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many wonderful and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Richard "Derrel" Mierswa and 2 sisters; Kathryne Lyngass and Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Shirtz.

A special Thank you to the staff at the Omro Care Center where he had resided for the past 3 ½ years and a very special "I love you" to his wife Diana for 28 years of marriage.

Cremation will take place. A memorial in his name has been established.
