Dave "Davers" Wurst, 60, of Omro passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. He was born on October 18, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of the late Raymond and Madonna Wurst. He married Deborah Fisher in July 1975 in Washington, D.C. Dave honorably served his country in the US Navy for 20 years, during the Vietnam War and many other tours around the world. He enjoyed sharing his military travel experiences. After retiring from the Navy, Dave continued his education, getting a business degree in Flat Rock, North Carolina. He was employed with America Life & Health, Best Plumbing and Lowes in Oshkosh.

Dave is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Wurst of Omro; his children, Jennifer Wurst of Appleton, Kim (Steven) Centers of Little Chute and David Wurst of Appleton; brothers, Dennis (Donna) Wurst, Mike Wurst, Tom (Julie) Wurst; sister, Jeannie (John) Lepine; his in laws, John & Shirley Fisher; brothers in law, Johnnie Fisher and Steven (Becky) Fisher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Brian and Steve.

In respect to Dave's memory family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Remembrance Service at 3:00 p.m. A memorial is being established in his name. A special thanks for Dr. Richard Johnson and Dr. Amelio Gotti for their care and compassion.
