David D. "Porky" Domke, age 77, of Omro, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 5, 2018, in the loving presence of his family. Born on October 20, 1940, in Oshkosh, the son of Bill and Norma (Morsty) Domke, Porky married Doloris Amundson on October 17, 1959 in Omro.
Employed at Kraft Foods and Wagner Electric Company, Porky worked with Lois Seelow, Bob Ott, and Tony Switlick. Later, he worked for the railroad, and for many years was employed by the Omro Parks Department, cutting grass and maintaining the landfill. Porky enjoyed time spent fishing, deer hunting, playing cards with his family, and taking care of the family dog, Pacco.
Survivors include his wife, Doloris; two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Formiller and Penny (Randy) Besaw; six grandchildren, Steven (Kayla) Duke, Jake Domke, Melissa (Nick) Gollmart, Scott Besaw, Heather (Adrian) Formiller Willett, Tyler Formiller; two great-grandchildren, Orion Willett and Luca Duke; a sister, Bonnie (Junior) Boehnlien; a brother, Mike (Donna) Domke; a brother-in-law, Ken Lind; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Porky in death are his parents, a son, David C. Domke, three brothers, Charles "Haine" Domke, Lawrence "Huntz" Domke, and Frank Domke; a sister, Dixie Lind; two sisters-in-law, Barb Domke and Gladys Domke; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Lind and Ralph Bunke.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro. Inurnment will take place at Omro Cemetery. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial in Porky's memory is being established.
The family wishes to thank Mercy Medical Center, Affinity Visiting Nurses, and neighbor Frank Hodel for all their help and concern shown to Porky during his illness.
