David "Dave" Konrad, 83, of Oshkosh, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 7, 2018. He was born the son of Armin and Julia (Helm) Konrad in Oshkosh on February 8, 1935. He attended Grange country school and graduated from Oshkosh High School. On January 18, 1969 he married Judy Owens in Oshkosh.
He was active duty US Naval Reserve from 1953-1957. He farmed for a few years in the Berlin area before moving to the Ring area where he farmed and made his home for the past 54 years. Along with farming he was employed and retired from Rockwell International after 28 years.
He enjoyed his cattle and in later years his horses and being with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Dan (Dana); three grandchildren, Jenna, Katlyn and Caleb, all of rural Ripon; two sisters, Kathryn Hackbarth of Van Dyne, Joy Hemmer of Muskego; brother, Richard of Norway; three sister-in-laws, Kathy Owens of Deerfield, IL, Donna Smoody of Rosendale, Wendy (Mike) Haseleu of rural Waupun; and four brother-in-laws, Mike (Kathy) Owens of rural Brandon, Tracy Owens of Texas, Toni (Di) Owens of rural Brandon, and Rusty (Erin) Owens of Rosendale.
