David L. McDermid, age 58, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021. He was born in Racine on September 21, 1962, son of the late John and Constance (Lieb) McDermid. He was a process engineer at Wells Manufacturing in Fond du Lac for many years, retiring in 2019. David enjoyed computers, fishing and skiing. His daughter, Amber, taught him to vegetable garden and cook. He was proud of his preparation of food and love for spicy food. David will be remembered for being a determined, focused and studious worker. He was not afraid to make fun of himself.

David is survived by his daughter, Amber; siblings: Daniel McDermid, Patricia Caldwell, Barbara (John) Arnold, John (Valerie) McDermid and Charles (Chris) McDermid; and sister-in-law, Zhai (Darryl) Uchitel. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Roger Caldwell.
