David J. Rosenau age 68 of Van Dyne, died suddenly on Sunday, January 18, 2009. He was born in Oshkosh to John H. and Ione (Abraham) Rosenau on March 2, 1940. On August 19, 1961 he married Julie VanderLinden in Green Bay.
Horses were David's life: he owned and managed D-R Bar Stable & Saddle Shop with his wife for many years. He was a 4-H horse project leader for more than 20 years. He belonged to horse clubs, was a master of saddlery, a horse trainer, a horse showman, a ferrier, and for a short time owned a pony ring business. David loved animals, and they loved him.
Surviving David is: his wife of 47 years, Julie; children: John (Sherrie) Rosenau of Van Dyne, Catherine Rosenau - Fryman of Texas, Nicole Immel of Fond du Lac, and Daniel (Nikki) Rosenau of New Franken; grandsons: Eric, David, Jackson, Alex, Zachary, Adam, Charlie, Brady, Jasper, and Wyatt; great-grandson, Aden; brother, Richard (Sharon) Rosenau of Oshkosh; and several extended family members. David's parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services for David will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 23, 2009, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 311 Division Street.
