David E. Schilling, 58, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018. He was born September 3, 1959. The son of Dale and Joyce (Frickenstein) Schilling. He married Frances Padilla on May 17, 1980 in Oshkosh, WI. He worked at Klinger Painting in Oshkosh.

Dave will be greatly missed by his entire family and including his dog Schmedly. He was like a father to all his nephews and nieces. Dave had a big heart of gold, and always enjoyed helping everybody. Dave enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his grandkids (Tyler and Andrya Roth) and playing with Schmedly. He was always cracking jokes and making people laugh, he was the big jokester of the family. Dave had a love for his die cast car collection and the Packer game parties with family and friends. Dave was the loving Godfather to Cody Moriearty.

Dave is survived by his wife of 38 years, Frances; daughter, Sarah (Shane); brother, Darrell (Teresa) Schilling; sister, Marlene (Larry) Halverson of Medford, WI; many nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Hilda Padilla.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Judy Schug, Mary Berndt, and Sally Freeman; and nephew, Eugene Schug Jr.
