David F. Wappler, age 73, of Omro, formerly of Milwaukee, died at home surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, January 15, 2017. David was born April 4, 1943 in Milwaukee, the son of Harold and Viola (Bartelt) Wappler. He had worked at Pabst Brewing Co. in Milwaukee and later for Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Winnebago, WI. David married Deborah L. Silvast on March 31, 1973 in Milwaukee. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and as always watching football and baseball. David enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings.David is loved and will be missed by his wife, Deborah; daughters, Kim Wappler, Lisa (Jim) Hawley and Amanda (Ronell) Hubanks; grandchildren, Sarah (A.J.) Agnew, Jacquelyn Peters, Isaiah and Deven Hubanks; great grandchildren, Alexis, Aubriana and Jocelyn, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel and granddaughter, Teagan.The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 330 Foster Road, Redgranite from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00 P.M. with Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating
