Dawn entered into her Eternal Home with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday evening, June 27, 2007, at Aurora Medical Center, after a year long battle with cancer. She entered her life on earth on April 18, 1962, in Ripon and spent her entire life in the Omro and Waukau area. She graduated from Omro High School in 1980, and then began her career of caring for others to help make their lives more comfortable. As a CNA at Omro Care Center, for twenty-six years, she touched the hearts of so many people who fondly remembered her for her easy going ways. They always knew they could count on her for a big smile, a helping hand and a joke or two. She had a good sense of humor and everyone loved having her around. Dawn's love of people carried over to animals. Her poodles were her pride and joy. You were never quite sure what new animals you might find when going to her home.
There were many nieces and nephews whom she adored, and loved doing things with. They will always remember their trips out to Oregon and all the other special things she did for them. She had no children of her own, but there were always enough around for her to love and pamper. It's always nice to be spoiled by a special aunt.
Dawn was united in marriage to Robert Breezee on May 20, 2006 at the Waukau United Methodist Church. Although their married life was cut short, the love they had for each other was felt by everyone around them.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Robert; his three children, Robert Jr, Joshua and Stephanie; her mother, Rogene Larsen, Omro; brothers, Larry (Cindy) Larsen, Omro and Wayne (Barb) Larsen, Omro; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her grandfather, Fred Applebee. She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy, her grandparents, Ken Larsen, Sr. and Winnie (Larsen) Applebee.
Visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and then again on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Waukau United Methodist Church from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukau Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the entire staff, nurses and doctors at Aurora Hospital for the excellent care given to Dawn and her entire family.
