DeLloyd S. "Dee" Spanbauer, age 80, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning, April 18, 2012, at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 26, 1931, in Oshkosh to Leo T. and Leone E. (Stenzel) Spanbauer, Dee married Joan S. Treichel on June 27, 1953, in Oshkosh.
A member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter Catholic Church, Dee was a meat cutter for 42 years. He was employed by Krambo, Kroger, A & P, and the last 18 years at Sentry Foods. He enjoyed deer hunting and bowling at T & O Lanes in various leagues.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Spanbauer of Oshkosh; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dee is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Peggy Spanbauer, and a sister Alyce Quella.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.
