Delores Fisher, 98, died Friday evening, May 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Delores was born July 13, 1917, in Shiocton, the daughter of John and Alice Monahan. She was the eldest daughter, one of 12 children. She graduated from Omro High School. She married Roy Fisher on July 27, 1940, in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Town of Poygan. They made their home and farmed their entire lifetime in the Town of Rushford. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. Through the years she belonged to and helped with many missions in the church. She volunteered at Omro Care Center and St. Vincent de Paul. Delores loved to travel and never said no when asked to go on a trip or family outing. She enjoyed her flowers and watching the birds outside her window.She is survived by five children, Maurice (Vonnie) Fisher, Donna Krueger (friend Lou Kartman), Anita (Dave) Youngbauer, Francis (Mary) Fisher, Edward (Brenda) Fisher, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Phyllis Davis, Shirley (Tom) Resheski, Darlene (Gibby) Krentz; two brothers, Phil (Joyce) Monahan and Merle (Cindy) Monahan. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son-in-law, Jerry Krueger; granddaughter, Melissa; one sister, Beverly Johnston; and five brothers, Kermit, Keith, Hugh, Jim and Patrick Monahan. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro, with Sr. Pam Biehl and Rev. Joseph Mattern officiating. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
