Delores A. Kolbus, age 90, of Oshkosh, was called home by a merciful and loving God, Saturday morning, April 8, 2018. She was born on March 21, 1928, in Winchester, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Ann Pufahl. Delores married Leonard Kolbus in May of 1946 and together they worked the family farm in Omro until retirement.
They enjoyed wintering in Arkansas and traveled with friends until Leonard suffered a series of strokes. Delores patiently cared for Leonard until his death on May 27, 1996. She became an active member of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh and a member of the Quilters Club. The matriarch of her family, she enjoyed the activities and going-on of her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed by her children, Jane (Joseph M.) Martinez, Patsy (Richard) Malvarose, Dennis (Laura) Kolbus, John (Karin) Kolbus, and Susan (Garry) Toddish. Her legacy continues with 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Delores is a brother, Ken (Marilyn) Pufahl and a sister, Virginia (Tom) Abrahamian, with several nieces and nephews. We will miss those blue eyes and gentle smile. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Fern Pfeiffer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Murdock St. in Oshkosh, with Pastor Karen Jewell officiating.
