Obituary

Dennis "Toby" Harold Craig passed away February 22, 2022. He was born to the late Richard and Inez Craig. He was born in Oshkosh, WI on June 25, 1948. He was a graduate of Omro High School. He can be best described as a renaissance man with success in multiple businesses to include farming, trucking, and sales. Dennis was able to make his passion for cars a career, establishing Craig Auto Sales over 30 years ago. Dennis' dream was to build a business that he would pass on to his family and had that dream realized with his son Cory joining him in 2015.

Dennis' family was the center of his world. He started this family with marrying the love of his life and best friend, Alexandria "Sandy" Jean Miller, on December 14, 1968. Dennis and Sandy were blessed with three children, raising them in Eureka, WI. Sandy and the kids have beautiful memories to look back on, but will tell you that Dennis' best advice in life was to "always stay humble and kind." The simplicity of these words is how Dennis lived his life and he modeled this in everything he did.

Dennis was a well-known member of the Eureka/Omro community. He was always there to lend a hand, pulling out his best friend Don Zarling's truck from a ditch, corralling his or the neighbor's cattle with his best farmhand, Jeff Sundquist, or looking for an exact replica of his sister's Lexus to replace it when she needed it most. His granddaughters will cherish their grandpa's version of driver's education, assuring their mom and dads, "I am an excellent driver." And it is a fact that his "Suzies" will never forget him. A book could be written on Dennis' generosity and selflessness, and Dennis would be the first one to tell you, it would be a best seller, with his infamous shy smirk.

He will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to know him. Dennis was a compassionate, forgiving, and generous soul. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Christine Craig; sons, Andrew (Laura) and Cory (Kaylee); grandchildren, Carley, Gaby, Sofia, Rosie, and Stella; brother, Paul (Gerrie); and sisters, Cyndi Wipf and Patty Fink.

He will be greeted in heaven by his mother and father, Dick and Inez; mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret and Joe Miller; brothers, Darhl and Dan; and brother-in-law's Bob Wipf and Bob Fink.

The Craig Family would like to extend a sincere thank you for the care and compassion that was given to Dennis by the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro, on Saturday February 26 with visitation beginning at 11am and lasting until the time of service at 1:30pm.

Dennis will be laid to rest at Eureka Cemetery at a later date.
