Diane J. Carlson, age 49, of Pine River, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening March 2, 2004 at her residence. She was born on September 12, 1954 in Oshkosh the daughter of Robert and Ruth Radig Case. She attended schools in the Omro School District and was a graduate of Omro High School.

Diane loved working outdoors, operated a small dairy farm for about 9 years and thoroughly enjoyed animals. Her other passions included sewing, making quilts, cooking, and baking cookies and wedding cakes. She worked at Kwik-Trip in Omro. Diane always worked hard providing for her daughter and will fondly be remembered as the "BEST MOTHER EVER!"

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Toni (Bruce) Balthazor of Omro, granddaughter: Meghan, Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Sandra (Richard) Ristow of Oshkosh, Peggy (Larry) Nigl of Omro and Bonnie Case of Oshkosh, Brother and Sister-in-law: Robert (Peggy) Case of Oshkosh, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins many Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces, Grand Nephews, other relatives, friends, her "kids" (dogs) Norman & Blossom & grand dogs: Moses, Zoe & Noah. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 p.m. with Rev. John Brogaard officiating. A memorial has been established.
