Obituary
Diane M Post, age 82, of Waukau, passed away, October 14, 2023.
She was born June 30, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Beatrice (Gylstrom) Lippert.
Diane spent most of her youth on the family farm on Lake Poygan, rural Winneconne. She was a graduate of Winneconne High School.
Horses were her first love. She won many barrel races and pole bending competitions in her youth with her horse Amigo. Diane was self-motivated and started her own riding stable at 18 years of age (Silver Horse Stables in Wautoma). She ran the stable in the summers and worked at Sand Knit and Realist, Inc. for a number of years during the winter months.
Eventually she became an aide at Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She remained there until completing the program at FVTC for her LPN. She then passed her state boards and was employed by Bethel Home and Omro Care Center.
Diane also ran the Golden Horse Ranch in Waukau with her husband Fred from 1998 until the time of her passing. She boarded horses, trained horses and raised many foals. Diane to great pride in her horses and her knowledge of bloodlines of Paint, Quarter horse and Thoroughbred breeds.
She loved listening to music, dancing with her husband and eating out. (Especially Perkins)
She is survived by her husband Frederick Post, Omro; one brother, John (Carole) Gonsalves, Neshkoro; her daughter, Betty Delzer, Berlin; her son, Troy (Jennifer) Delzer, Las Vegas; granddaughters Chelsea Delzer (Jared Langenhorst), Gabrielle Delzer and Shyla Delzer, grandsons Dustin Delzer and Mikel Delzer; a great grand daughter and a great grandson; other relatives and friends. Diane is preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Betty Jane Lippert and Bonnie Lippert.
Services will be held at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave. Omro, WI 54963 on Friday October 20, 2023. Visitation will begin at 11:30am and be held until the time of service at 1:30pm. Diane will be buried at Omro Cemetery following services.
