Dixie L. Lind, age 70, of Omro, died Saturday afternoon, March 6, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born May 24, 1939, the daughter of Lawrence and Norma (Morstz) Domke. Dixie was educated in the Omro School System and was a graduate of Omro High School. She married William Lind at the First Baptist Church in Omro on August 9, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1959. She later married Kenneth C. Lind on May 28, 1960. Dixie had worked in the art department at Printco from 1983 until 1996. She enjoyed cooking and baking, often trying new recipes; bowling, gardening and gambling. Dixie was an active member of the Sand Pit Fishing Club. She enjoyed getaways with family and friends.

Dixie is survived by her children, Peggy (Allan) Sheets of Sun Prairie, Sherry Lind of Omro, Laurie Collins of Oshkosh, Troy (Carla Anderson) Lind of Oshkosh and Tammy (Lee) Coffen of Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Christopher, Corinne, Easton, Garet, Seth, Chad and Zach; great grandson, Marquis; brothers, Porky (Deloris) Domke, Frank Domke, Mike (Donna) Domke; sister, Bonnie (Junior) Boehnlein; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Lawrence "Bill" and Norma "Granny" Domke; brothers, Charles "Heine" Domke, Lawrence "Huntz" Domke; sister in law, Barbie Domke; and nephew, David Domke.

In respect to Dixie's memory, the family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M.
