Obituary

Dolores "Dee" (Gallenberger) Pech, age 82, of Oshkosh died after a long struggle with Parkinson's, December 14, 2015, at Arbor View Manor. Dee was born on January 12, 1933 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Arthur and Inslee Gallenberger.
Dee graduated from Green Bay West High School, Evanston Teachers College, in Evanston IL, and received a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She taught Kindergarten in Neenah and Oshkosh, Preschool and Head Start in Oshkosh, and finished her career teaching in the Early Childhood Education Program at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.
She married Thomas Robert Pech in Green Bay on December 26, 1955. Together they lived in Oshkosh and had four children. Tom passed away on August 29, 1976.
Children were Dee's life and passion; she worked as an educator to make their lives healthier and happier. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Dee was a member or St. Mary's parish in Oshkosh (now Most Blessed Sacrament). She was active in Altrusa Club and volunteered for many years at both Mercy Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center. She was also an active member of the Parkinson's Support program at the Senior Center in Oshkosh until she could no longer attend.
Dee is survived by her children Anne Marie (Kirk) Haverland, Thomas Jr. (Chris), Michael (Nancy) all of Oshkosh and Mary Kate (Rick) Harris of Placerville CA. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren: Tripper Pech III, Samantha Pech, Abigail Pech, Lillian Pech, and Maggie Haverland all of Oshkosh, Katie Sawicki of Tulsa OK, and Sara Harris, Christopher Harris, and Jackson Harris all of Placerville CA.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband Tom, grandson Craig Sawicki Jr., her parents, and a brother Darrell Gallenberger.
The family will hold a memorial celebration of Dee's life at a later date. The family would like to give special thanks to the loving staff of Arbor View Manor, especially Diann, Jody, and Lisa for their compassion and care for Dee over the last 4 years.
