Don Milis, age 69 of Omro, died peacefully Monday afternoon July 7, 2003 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1934 in Cecil, WI., the son of Walter and Viola Beilfuss Milis and grew up in Shawano. He married Lois Sund on February 15, 1957 in Shawano. They lived in Milwaukee for 40 years moving to Omro in June of 2001. Don enjoyed working on cars, gardening, playing with his grandchildren and his best buddy Shadow.

Don is survived by his wife Lois, sons; Doug, Daniel (Tina), Duane (Erin) and Dean, daughters; Debbie (Don) Barrett, Dawn Bratten, Deana (Jeff) Brandt & Donia (Don) Groves, grandchildren; Jessica, Chelsea, Dustan, Ryan, Tyler, Christopher, Matthew, Clinton, Jordan, Lauren, Makaila, Dakota, Domynick, Danycka, & MacKenzie. Don is also survived by his brother Dennis (Donna), nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darwin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then on Friday July 11, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church 720 Jackson Ave., Omro from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul J. Mundinger officiating. Private burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Memorials to the family appreciated.
