Donald H. Berndt, age 77, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born in Oshkosh on August 18, 1944, the son of the late Reuben and Verna (Mahlke) Berndt. Don worked for the Oshkosh Recreation Department for 34 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed the outdoors which included activities such as: hunting, fishing and camping. His walking always kept him in excellent shape. He also enjoyed coaching his son's Boy Scout baseball team. Don will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the occasional political talk, and hard work ethic.

Don is survived by his sons: Darryl (Kerrie) Berndt, Danny Berndt, Aaron (Bethany) Berndt and Adam Berndt; grandchildren: Ashlyn Berndt, and Aaron and Leven Berndt; and nieces: Debbie Foltz and Marie Kolstad. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gwen Librizzi; and former spouse, Kathy Berndt.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh.
