"Gup" Donald D. Kumbier, age 63 of Omro, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at University Hospital in Madison. He was born March 13, 1952, in Oshkosh, the son of Myron G. and Irene (Dehn) Kumbier. Gup married Beverly (Anklam) Will on August 26, 1985 on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Gup graduated from Omro High School in 1970, the top of his class…"second tallest". After graduation he worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 6 months, then decided to make dairy farming his lifetime career. He worked his farm for 43 years before retiring. Gup was a member of the Utica Fire Dept, joining in July of 1994. He became a certified fire fighter in 1995. He was a charter member of the Omro Athletic Association. He loved playing golf, deer hunting, fox hunting, playing softball and playing card games with many of his longtime friends. But most of all, he was happiest while driving one of his many tractors.Gup is loved and will be missed by his wife, Beverly; children, Robert (Sarah) Will, Wenda (Terry) Roycraft, Ronald (Beth) Will, Daniel Sr. (Denise) Will; grandchildren, Anne (Christopher) Eythison, Robert Will Jr., Mitchell Will, Jaycie Will, Tera Roycraft, Michael Roycraft, Brian Will, Jessica (Kyle) Zimmer, Jason Will, Nicholas Will, Daniel Will Jr. and Sarah Bradley. He is further survived by five great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Darlene) Kumbier, David (Kathy) Kumbier; sister in law, Arlys Kumbier, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Gup was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Darwin, infant brother, Dennis and granddaughter, Ashley Will.The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then again on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Randall King officiating. Burial will follow at the Waukau Cemetery. A memorial in his name is being established.
