Donald "Don" Sitter passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born in Oshkosh on January 7, 1949 to Eugene and Grace (Matche) Sitter.
A lifelong resident of Oshkosh, Don enjoyed various employments throughout the years. He is most known for his 30 years of service with the Oshkosh Transit System. Don retired this past June from the 9th Avenue route.
In his free time he enjoyed fishing with his sons, casino trips, dining at various Oshkosh restaurants, scrapping metal with his friend Tom, and spending time with his granddaughter Savanna.
Don is survived by his mother, Grace Sitter; sons: Andrew Sitter, Brian Sitter, and Donald Sitter Jr.; daughter, Jackie Sitter; dear granddaughter, Savanna; other grandchildren; brother, Jim (Cindy) Sitter; and many other friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, and brothers, Steven and Lawrence.
