Donald Volkman, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Monday afternoon, February 12, 2007 at his home. He was born on September 25, 1922 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Frank and Mable (TeBrake) Volkman. Don married Geraldine "Gerry" Clough on April 10, 1942 in Junction City, Kansas and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2005.
Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Oshkosh American Legion Cook-Fuller Post #70. He was a machinist for Wisconsin Axle (Axle Tech) before his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald W. Volkman of Redgranite and Richard (Linda) Volkman of Palmer, Alaska; three grandchildren, John, Annie, and Nathan; and one brother, Robert (Jean) Volkman of Wautoma.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with members of American Legion Post #70 officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
