Obituary

If you don't believe there are angels that roam the earth, then you never met Donna Rumlow. Born September 23, 1934 Donna spent her childhood in Oshkosh. She moved to Omro when she met and married Warner G Rumlow in 1969. She loved to paint and read. She worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute for 31 years on the children's ward. She opened her heart to all that she came in contact with and often would bring patients home for visits. Dozens of people called her mom because she was so willing to take care of everyone else. Her legacy is hundreds of people whose hearts she touched, lives she made better by her presence, friends and family she taught to heal and love openly. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother and her husband. Donna requested not to have a funeral but a memorial luncheon is planned in her honor at the Roxy in Oshkosh on Tuesday, January 23 at noon. All friends and family are welcome to celebrate her beautiful life and spirit. Do not send flowers or money. The best way to honor this woman is to pay it forward, choose kind, or whatever catchphrase strikes a chord with you. Do something for someone for no reason other than it's important to be good to others. Buy a stranger coffee, walk the neighbors dog, shovel an elderly person's driveway. It is in this way that her light will shine on forever.
