Dorothy Theresa Egan, age 91, of Omro, died peacefully and joined her husband on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Omro Care Center with family by her side. She was born March 31, 1925 in Shiocton, the daughter of Clement and Anna (Koss) Lisbeth. Growing up, Dorothy attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. She had worked as an LPN at Mercy Hospital for 10 years. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Bob. They were married August 22, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh. They made their home in Omro on the family farm where she enjoyed all her animals, gardening, cooking, baking, reading and taking care of her family. Bob preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage on December 7, 2016.Dorothy is loved and will be missed by her children, John (Sheri), James (Kimberly), Ann (Steven) Koss and Christopher; grandchildren, Hannah (Brad) Vowels, Edward and Madeline Egan; Robert, Nicholas, Kathryn, Wallace, Josephine and Virginia Egan; Adam (Kristen) Koss, Joshua Koss, Paul and Joseph Egan; great grandchild, Raelynn Koss; brother, Robert Lisbeth; sister, Rosemary Rupple; sisters-in-law, Mary Locke, Pat Lisbeth, Sr. Sylvia Egan; and brother-in-law, Joseph Binder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Anna Lisbeth; husband, Bob; son, Richard Lisbeth; brother, Clement Lisbeth; sister, Margaret Drexler; brothers-in-law, Harold Fox, Robert Drexler, Arden Ruppel, James Egan; sisters-in-law, Diane Lisbeth, Kathryn Binder and Mary Jane Fox. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 26, 2016, at the funeral home in Omro from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. with a rosary to follow. Visitation again on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison St., Omro, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Edward Looney and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. A luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the Mass and then burial will follow at Omro Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Dorothy's name for St. Mary's Church.The family would like to give special thanks to Affinity Hospice Care and the staff at Omro Care Center and all the family and friends that have touched Dorothy's life. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her.
