Dorothy A. George, age 80, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012. She was born in Oshkosh on July 13, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry & Anna (Forbes) George. Dorothy worked at the Buckstaff Company for many years and later at Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin and was the manager of WILLO apartments, as well as being a dedicated volunteer of the agency. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, reading, and sitting outside enjoying the day.
Dorothy is survived by sisters: Jeanette Kennedy and Ruth Harnitz; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Lesperance; brother, Harley Moore; and brothers-in-law: George Kennedy, Alex Lesperance, and Dale "Dutch" Harnitz. Dorothy also had another brother, John George.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Marine Corps League, 4715 Sherman Rd. in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Dorothy's name.
