Dorothy Luft, 88, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2004. She was born in Oshkosh on March 10, 1915 to Herbert and Ruth (Brismaster) Hamann. Alvin Luft joined her in marriage on November 30, 1939. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2000.
Dorothy had lived at Encore Senior Village for quite a few years before moving to Park View Health Center. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Her last place of employment was Wally's Awning Company. She and Al were godparents to many wonderful children. She enjoyed gardening, canning and yard work.
Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Margaret Hamann and Audrey Hamann both of Oshkosh along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Don Hamann, Herbert E. "Sam" Hamann, Carleton and Betty Hamann, Irene and Arnold "Pat" Patterson.
Services for Dorothy will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 29th, at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street, the Rev. Kent Mosebach officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Seefeld Eagle Street Chapel on Thursday beginning at 5:00 PM. Memorials to St. Paul's United Church of Christ are appreciated.
