Dorothy M. Schroeder, age 75, of Oshkosh, died Friday afternoon, April 28, 2006 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1930 in Oshkosh to George and Erna (Meske) Schmidt. Dorothy married Clarence Schroeder on September 22, 1956 in Oshkosh. Dorothy was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Grace Forever Young. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and word puzzles.


Survivors include her husband, Clarence Schroeder of Oshkosh; two sons, Michael Schroeder and Timothy Schroeder, both of Oshkosh; one daughter, Sharon Schroeder of Oshkosh; and one brother, Richard Schmidt of Honolulu, Hawaii. Preceding Dorothy in death are her parents and a brother, William Schmidt.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Gregg Schoeneck officiating. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will held on Monday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial expressions of sympathy may be made to Tuition Assistance Funds of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
