Duane A. Johnson, age 74 of Omro, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center. He was born December 24, 1935, in White Lake, Wisconsin to Arden and Dorothy (Erdman) Johnson. He married Marilyn Noggle on November 30, 1957, in Milwaukee. Duane retired after 43 years from Metal Forms Corp. in Milwaukee. He was a gifted musician and loved spending time with his family, gardening and cooking.
Duane is survived by his three daughters, Julie Seifert of Redgranite, Gena (Christopher) Kolo of Menomonee Falls, and Joni (Steve) Volkert of Winneconne; one son, Glen (Nancy) Johnson of Horicon; his grandchildren, Nicole & Ben Seifert, Justine, Jackie & Jamie Kolo, Tyler, Jennifer & Melissa Volkert and Matthew & Michael Johnson; his brothers, Dale (Lila), Don (Beverly); sisters, Sandee (Jay) Franks and Karen (Rich) Drozd; his in laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 45 years, Marilyn and brother, Michael.
In respect to Duane's memory, family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, September 3, 2010, from 4:00 until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. A memorial is being established.
