Obituary

Dudley E. Weeks, age 94, of Oshkosh, died Monday afternoon, October 15, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on February 15, 1918, in Oshkosh, to Harry and Alma (Wilke) Weeks, Dudley married Dorothy M. Parsons on September 26, 1952, in Oshkosh. Dorothy preceded Dudley in death on September 28, 2003.
He was a working member of Weeks Grocery Store on South Park Avenue prior to serving his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. After his discharge from the Army, Dudley was employed as an accountant with the Leach Company until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Leach 25 Year Member Club. Golfing, traveling with Dorothy, home repairs, and landscape gardening for the "perfect yard" were favorite activities for Dudley.
Left to mourn his passing is two children, David Weeks of Oshkosh and Donna (Michael) LaPoint of Oshkosh; two grandson, Craig (Meghan) LaPoint of Oshkosh and Doug (Racheal) LaPoint of Oshkosh; two great-grandchildren, Kenshin and Elijah; and a sister Lucille Weeks of Oshkosh. Preceding Dudley in death is his wife, infant son, Michael James Weeks, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Jakes Voker officiating. Interment will follow the services at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
