DuWayne L. Hansen, age 63, of Oshkosh, died Saturday evening, July 17, 2004, at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on October 2, 1940 in Oshkosh to Ernest and Estelle (Porath) Hansen.
DuWayne was employed by Mercury Marine as a custodian at the Oshkosh Division prior to his retirement. DuWayne was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, an outstanding high school football player, an avid bowler and sports fan, who also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include two sisters: Nancy Hallman of Omro; Elaine Raddatz of Oshkosh; one brother: Herbert (Rita) Grunwald of Oshkosh; three sisters-in-law: Trevelen Hansen of Waukesha; Margaret Hansen of Oshkosh; Rose (Grunwald) Zielke of Oshkosh; and nieces and nephews. DuWayne was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Ralph Grunwald, Donald Hansen, and David Hansen; two sisters: Patsy Hansen and Lois Hansen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario Street, with Reverend Walter Moll officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery following services. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. A memorial in DuWayne's memory is being established by his family.
