E. Milton Jones, age 89 died at Omro Care Center on Sunday, December 10, 2006 after a long fight with cancer. He was born in the Township of Algoma, the youngest of seven children, to Albert M. and Jennie (Stever) Jones on April 16, 1917. On December 21, 1936 he married, Adeline C. Eder of Oshkosh.

Milton farmed most of his life. He owned an operated a welding shop for twenty years. He then worked for a construction company for twenty-five years before retiring.

Milton is survived by his wife of almost 70 years: Adeline; son: Ray A. (Carol) Jones of Algoma; grandsons: Ray A. Jones Jr. of Oshkosh, Troy Jones of Neenah, and Perry (Deb Guiterrez) Jones of Overland Park, Kansas; and great-grandchildren: Vanessa and Montana of Neenah, and Adam of Overland Park, Kansas. He is further survived by his sisters, Mabel Lincoln of Omro and Lucia Treleven of New London and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His parents preceded him in death as well as his brother: Robert Jones, and sisters: Ruby Clifford, Edna Blaha, and Bess Boykin.

Funeral services will be held for Milton at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation and support at the funeral chapel from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
