Obituary

Edna L. Kimball, age 98, died on February 1, 2016, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Edna was born in Oshkosh, the third of four children born to Henry and Wilhelmina Pfaffenroth. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, Edna married Harry C. Kimball on October 12, 1940. They raised their family in Oshkosh. Edna loved cardinals, dogs, cooking, baking, knitting, fishing with Harry, watching football, and taking care of her family. She had a generous heart as evidenced by the hundreds of caps she knit and gave away. No one ever left her house hungry.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Judy (Allen Barkoff) Kimball and by numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; son, Gary; sisters, Dorothy and Emmy; and a brother, Carlton.
A memorial service will be held for Edna on February 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Home Chapel, 225 N. Eagle Street, with Chaplain Cathy Vander Velden officiating.
Special thanks to the staff and residents of Bethel Home who brought Edna so much fun, friendship, and loving care for the three years she lived there, the staff of Affinity Hospice, and her dear friends, Dick and Norlene Woldt.
