Edward N. "Nick" Basting, age 62, of Oshkosh, died Thursday afternoon, September 26, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on April 1, 1951, in Milwaukee, to Theodore and Lucille (Lauman) Basting, Nick was employed in the maintenance department of numerous apartment complexes. He enjoyed poetry, was a music vocalist, creative, and was talented with his hands.
Survivors include a son, Damion (Denise Runkel) Basting of Port Washington; a daughter, Tonya (companion, Jose') Basting of Oshkosh; their mother, Debra Basting of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Elijah, Karizma, and Giovannie; a brother, Greg Basting of Texas; nieces, nephews, and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Theodore Basting.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapel, 1025 Oregon Street.
