Edwin L. Knight, age 70, of Omro, died Monday morning, October 22, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center. Ed was born September 2, 1937, in Clyde, Iowa County, WI the son of Lester and Minnie Bell (Johnson) Knight. He was educated in the Avoca and Lone Rock Schools and later married Anita Nourse on March 18, 1961 in Iowa County. Ed had many passions in life which included hunting, the Green Bay Packers, baseball and camping. Above all else, Ed thoroughly enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and collecting Allis Chalmers memorabilia.

Ed is loved and will missed by his wife, Anita; his children, Allen (Molly Buhrow) of Oshkosh, Charlotte (Gary) Schackow of Omro and Wayne (Cassandra) Knight of Omro; grandchildren, Travis Knight, Allan and Cody Schackow, Maggie, Emma and Wyatt Knight; sisters, Pat Aaron and Barb (Steve) Bowmann; brothers, Bill (Mavis) Knight, Fred (Bev) Knight and Ron Knight; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Minnie; brother, Roger; and son, Ricky.

In respect to Ed's memory, his family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4 – 8 P.M. Graveside committal service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 12:30 P.M. at the Avoca Cemetery in Avoca, WI. A memorial in his name is being established.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gremminger and staff, and the ICU at Mercy Medical Center for the exceptional care and support given to Ed and his entire family.
