Eileen K. Rolph, age 70, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on her birthday, Saturday morning, September 11, 2004 at her home. Eileen was born in Omro, WI on September 11, 1934 the daughter of Albert "Bud" and Helen Steeps Rolph. Eileen was educated in the Omro School District and was a graduate of Omro High School. Eileen worked at Oshkosh City Hall in the Water Department until her retirement in 1998. Throughout her life, Eileen's passions included softball, golfing, bowling, gambling, sewing and leather coats. She enjoyed spending time working outside, gardening, washing cars and was an avid Packer Fan. Above all else, family was very important to her, especially her nieces and nephews.
Eileen was loved and will be missed by her sisters, Joyce (Lester) Loker, Dora Mae Rolph, Kathy (Dave) Kumbier all of Oshkosh, and Sherry Wagner of Berlin; sister in law, Audrey Rolph of Omro; many special nieces, nephews and friends. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lowell Rolph; sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Al Kloberdanz; and niece, Pam Loker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 435 High Ave., Oshkosh from 2:30 P.M. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 P.M. with Rev. Robert Kollath officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Cemetery. A memorial in her name has been established.
