Eileen E. Steiner, age 93, of Oshkosh, died Friday evening, April 10, 2015, at Bethel Home. Born on December 18, 1921, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Earl and Ethel (Skidmore) Newton, Eileen married Marvin J. Steiner in 1940. This union lasted for 66 years until Marvin's death on December 27, 2006.
A member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and member of Retirees of Rockwell International, Eileen enjoyed taking trips with Marvin to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and spending time at their cottage on Enterprise Lake. She was well known for her love of flowers and gardening; her vibrant, loving personality; and caring volunteerism.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Kim) Steiner and Michael (Vicky) Steiner; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Steiner; special friend, Nelson Bringham; grandchildren, Nikki Steiner, Jamie McCroskey, Jon J. Steiner, John M. (Bethany) Steiner, and Michael Steiner; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Eileen in death is her husband, a son, John E. Steiner, two brothers, Robert and Milton Newton, and two sisters, Betty Gregor and Shirley Stark.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., with Pastor RaeAnn Bebe officiating.
