Elaine Challoner, age 76, of Omro, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. Elaine was born January 18, 1935, to Ira and Esther (Craig) Challoner. She graduated from Omro High School. She retired from Ripon Foods after 43 years of service. Elaine was very creative; crocheting and embroidering many gifts for family and friends. She enjoyed flower arranging, traveling, bowling, and playing cards.

Elaine is survived by her sisters, Ruth (Rex) Stone of Waukau, and Mary (Eldon) Lee of Oshkosh; sister in law, Sandra Challoner of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, Susan Stone, Stewart (Amelia) Stone, Kenneth (Stacey) Stone, Lisa (Ken) Neuburg, Robert Stone, Alan (Theresa) Lee, Gail (Dan) Trenholm, Steve Lee, Laurel Challoner, Craig Challoner and Scott (Carolyn) Challoner; numerous great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dr. Robert Challoner.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Sara Verburg officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest in the Omro Cemetery.
