Elaine R. Haase, age 82, of Oshkosh, died Sunday evening, May 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on September 9, 1930, in Waupun, Wisconsin, to Ben and Rose (Meidl) Tollard, Elaine married Robert Haase on April 5, 1975, in Waukegan, Illinois.
Employed at T & J Manufacturing as a Supervisor, Elaine was also a seasonal employee at Miles Kimball. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church where she worked in the church kitchen for the Wednesday Neighborhood Meals. Elaine participated in the church bible study and prayer circles. Elaine was especially well-known for her German Potato Salad.
Survivors include her children, Donel (Mary Ann) Wyman of Oshkosh, Dennis Wyman of Oshkosh, and Debra (Crockett) Chamberlin of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Tina, David, Kate, and Joey; great grandchildren, Alex, Kylee, and two more expected this year; siblings, Fran (Leo) Demski, Kathy (Tim) Sebora, Darlene Curtis, Vivian (Terry) Miller, Dick (Pat) Tollard, and Claude (Mary) Tollard; two sisters-in-law, Mary Tollard and Marie Tollard; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Elaine in death is her husband, parents, four brothers, Chester, Delbert, Harold, and Calvin Tollard; and one sister, Loraine Groff.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in First English Lutheran Church, 1013 Minnesota Street, with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the church.
