Elaine Norkofski, age 83, of Oshkosh, died Sunday morning, September 5, 2004 at her home. She was born on April 29, 1921 in Oshkosh to Oscar and Louise Pollnow. Elaine married Jerome Norkofski in 1944 at Columbus, Georgia.
Elaine was a life-long member of Peace Lutheran Church and a 50-year member of Business Women's Club of Oshkosh. She loved to travel, boat, and play Bridge with her friends. Elaine was employed at Central Contractors of Oshkosh in the secretarial department until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband: Jerome Norkofski of Oshkosh; one son: Gary (Sharla) Norkofski of Oshkosh; two granddaughters: Danielle and Callie Norkofski both of Oshkosh; and one brother: Milton (Enice) Pollnow of Neenah.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial in Elaine's memory is being established by her family. A special thank you to Affinity Hospice and the nurses of the Sub-Acute Unit of Mercy Medical Center for the gentle care and love given to Elaine.
