Eleanor F. Blink, 89, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Bethel Home. She was born on May 12, 1918 in Bridgewater, Virginia, daughter of the late Charles W. and Isadora (Campbell) Williams. Eleanor married Glen H. Blink on April 2, 1938. They remained faithfully united through his death on October 22, 1980.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Williams Wine of Bridgewater, Virginia; brother-in-law, Leo (Lila) Blink of Wauchula, Florida; sisters-in-law, Mabel Plamann of Appleton and Muriel Blink of Green Bay; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Marion B. Williams, Lloyd W. Williams and Virginia Williams Smits; several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law on her husband's side as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor had served for 15 years in the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department overseeing the county jail, working with her husband during this time. She then dedicated 25 years at Bethel Home taking charge of the kitchen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM this Saturday, March 8th, at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Peter site, 435 High Avenue, Oshkosh. The Rev. Fr. Joel Sember will be the celebrant. Family and friends may gather at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
