Obituary

Eleanor A. Frank, age 89, of Oshkosh, went to her eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, December 30, 2012, in the loving presence of her family. Born on April 2, 1923, in Oshkosh, to John and Barbara (Hunt) Dubinski, Eleanor married James C. Frank on June 21, 1941, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2003.
A graduate of Oshkosh High School Class of 1941, Eleanor was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 60 years and the Friends Circle at church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Red Hat Society. Time spent with family, cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, sewing, reading, and playing bingo on Fridays at the Marine Corp League were favorite activities for Eleanor. Eleanor was employed as a nurse's aide for 31 years at Winnebago Mental Health Institute before her retirement.
Survivors include two sons, James C. Frank and Charles N. Frank; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Theodore (Heidi), and Cierra; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Hunter, Brenna, Teddy Jr., and Hadley; a special friend, Rena K. Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Eleanor in death is her husband, parents, a daughter, Julie Ann Frank, and her siblings, Harold, Dorothy, Leonard, Lorraine, Norbert, Lila, John, and Edward.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 12 Noon in Wesley United Methodist Church, 761 Florida Ave., with Reverend Jakes Voker officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery following the service. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established in Eleanor's name.
