Elsie Drexler, age 88, of Oshkosh, died Friday morning, September 12, 2008 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on April 5, 1920 in Oshkosh to George and Marie (Koch) Morasch. She was married to John Drexler. Elsie was a wonderful mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed baking cookies for her grandchildren. She was employed by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Riley, at Pioneer Inn, and later worked at Bethel Home. Elsie resided at Simeanna I for several years prior to moving to Evergreen Retirement Community.
Left to mourn her passing is a daughter, Sally (Harold) Brown of Oshkosh; a son, Michael (Karen) Drexler of Oshkosh; 6 grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Brown of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Troy (Mike) Brown of Madison, Brad (Kim) Brown of Oshkosh, Shelley (Keith ) Bronold of Appleton, Jennifer Gonia of Oshkosh, and Michael A. Drexler of Oshkosh; 12 great-grandchildren, Alex & Emily, Mitchell & Anthony, Ryan & Jack, Todd & Kimberly, Joseph & Kelsiee, Mckensiee, and Zoey; and one brother, William (Germaine) Morasch of Oshkosh. Preceding Elsie in death are her parents, 6 brothers, George, Henry, Adam, Alex, Herman, and Alvin; and 2 sisters, Emma Roth and Helen Herbst.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
