Elsie L. Heppner, age 95 of Oshkosh, formerly of Glenview, Illinois, died at Bethel Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. She was born in Cook County, Illinois, on June 28, 1912 to Herman and Theophia (Dalg) Lauf. On July 17, 1930 she married Charles A. Heppner. They enjoyed 57 years together until his death on November 12, 1987.

Elsie and Charles owned a farm in Glenview which led to owning a Heppner's Foods. They retired in Spring Grove and later moved to Oshkosh to be with their children. Elsie was a member of Martin Luther Church in Oshkosh. She was kind, good hearted, and giving. She enjoyed birds, flowers, and working in the garden.

Elsie will be missed by her sons: Donald (Shirley) Heppner and Charles (Betty) Heppner; grandchildren: Susan (Daniel) Ziegler and Nancy Jean (Norman) Reichenberger; and great-grandchildren: Daniel and Mathew Ziegler, Kevin Reichenberger, and Amy (Kevin) Boldt.

A graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Condolences may be given online at www.seefeldfuneral.com
