God needed another Special Angel, so he chose our Mom.Elsie I. Holm passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was 88 years old. Elsie was born on May 20, 1927, in Kimball, WI, to the late Mike and Mary Ijas. On December 27, 1947, she was united in marriage to Clarence "Kelly" Holm. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. Clarence passed away on August 10, 2009.Clarence and Elsie raised their family in Hurley and moved to Omro in 1964. Elsie worked a number of part time jobs, but first and foremost, she was a homemaker. A few of her special treats were Finnish biscuits, homemade toast, and tuna salad, always served with a cup or two of coffee. The coffee pot was always on. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Bonnie (Jim) Kriha, of Ripon; her son, Dennis (Ann) Holm, of Fond du Lac, WI; her special grandchildren, Cindy (Matt) Morse of Pickett, WI, Russ Kriha of Berlin, WI, Sara (Raymond) Miller of Sheboygan, WI, and Nick Holm of Fond du Lac, WI; her adored great grandchildren, Kaylee Kriha, Macy Morse, Weston Morse, Anna Miller, Ava Miller, and Ella Miller. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Frances Holm, and a very dear friend, Crystal.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; grandson, Jeff Kriha; her three sisters, Ellen, Helvie, and Elaine; her brother, Walter; and many other relatives. In respect to Elsie's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am, with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Omro Cemetery following the service. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
