Elsie C. Raddatz, age 92, of Oshkosh passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Evergreen Retirement Community. Born on February 7, 1918 to Ferdinand and Emma (Hoernke) Totzke, Elsie married Gordon Raddatz on November 22, 1952.
Together with Gordon, Elsie helped with the operations of their dairy and poultry farm for many years. She was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church for many years and in her free time enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Left to forever remember Elsie and cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Gordon; son, Wesley (Cindi) Raddatz of Green Bay; daughter, Grace (Tom) Barter of Kesley, Iowa; granddaughters, Lindsey (Eric) Raddatz-Hovey and Julia Raddatz. She is further survived by her brother, Albert Totzke; sister, Wolga Tigert and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred, Carl, and Herman Totzke; sisters, Emma Brown, Hertha Lau, Aurella Brouchaus.
Funeral service for Elsie will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 West 9th Avenue with Pastor Tim Greenwald officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
