Emil Froemming, Jr., 79, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2005. He was born in Theresa, Wisconsin, on October 19, 1925, a son of the late Emil and Ella (Giese) Froemming.
Emil led a quite life. He was separated from his family at an early age during the Great Depression. He did not get the opportunity to know his siblings since they were living at separate orphanages. As an adult he had occasional contact with them despite the distances they lived apart. Emil held some odd jobs in the community and had a group of friends at his home in the Mainview Apartments. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his sister, Ruth Kreiss of Oak Park, Illinois, and sister-in-law, Anita Froemming of Horicon. His brothers, Lawrence, Roland and Orin Froemming preceded him in death.
Services for Emil will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 10th, at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, the Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Family and friends may gather at the Seefeld Oregon Street Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Theresa.
