Ernest K. Langeberg, age 102, of Eureka, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 19, 2016. Ernie was born April 13, 1913 in Pierre, Marshall County, South Dakota, the son of Albert and Margaret (Buhring) Langeberg. He married Hazel Kuhs in Dell Rapids, South Dakota in 1935. Ernie was the owner and operator of Ernie's Super Station in Ripon and also farmed in the Omro area. He was a member of the Eureka Lodge of Wisconsin Odd Fellows, was a Deputy Sheriff of Winnebago County from 1957-1958 and was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Ripon. Ernie always enjoyed a good game of cribbage and cards with his family and friends.Ernie is loved and will be missed by his children, Douglas (Rosemary) Langeberg of Omro, Nancy Jackson of Titusville, Fl., and Roger (Margie) Langeberg of Omro; grandchildren, LaureLee (Stuart) Beduhn of Appleton, Douglas (Audrey) Langeberg of Omro, Andrea (Daniel) Hawthrone, of Florida, Jocelyn (Lou) Napolitano of Florida, Lance (Meaghan) Jackson of Florida, Jeffery (Kelly) Langeberg of Omro, John (Kimberly) Langeberg of Brookfield, WI, and Jodi Lin (Brian) Percey of Omro; 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, sisters, Mary Clark of Longview, WA and Emma Hayes of Neenah, WI; dear friend, Adelaide Ahrens of Markesan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ernie is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, mother and father, brothers, Albert, Arthur, John (Jack), Herman, Bertram, Lawrence, Lee and sisters, Freda, Agnes and Eleanor.Visitation will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at the funeral home in Omro from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 430 Griswold St., Ripon from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clay Salmela officiating. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.
